SEWING CHOCOLATE FILLED Egg PILLOWS

“Sew” these really fun Egg Pillows using a basic "whip stitch", fill them with chocolate kisses/eggs and give them out to friends and family. 

Tools:
Hole Punch
Scissors 

Materials:
9” X 12” piece of paper (sturdy card stock, construction paper or watercolor paper for younger kids)
54” of thick string or cord
Scrap paper
Chocolate kisses & chocolate eggs
Water color paint, stickers

STEP 1: Line up two pieces of 9”X 12” paper.  Draw an oval shape on the top one, big enough to fill the entire paper.

STEP 2: Cut out the oval shape you created.

STEP 3: Hole punch along the perimeter evenly spacing out the holes every centimeter or so.

You can use the paper left over after cutting out there oval to stuff the paper pillow with. 

STEP 4: Loop the string through and around the punched holes, sealing the edge of the egg. Leave a bit of space at the very end to be able to fill the egg with tissue paper/scrap paper and chocolate treats. Once filled finish “sewing” up the edges, tying the ends into a bow.

STEP 5: Decorate both sides of the egg any way you like; adding stickers or painting it with water color. Markers works as well, but it's not as easy working with them on a raised surface. We tried acrylic paint and it was too wet and ripped the paper. Just a little bit of wet watercolor is best.

STEP 6: Gift it to a friend to enjoy!

Your friend can re-use the string from the Egg you gave him to create a Pillow for another friend.
